Borderlands works with people seeking asylum in the UK & refugees from other countries, including people who’ve been trafficked, supporting refugees & asylum seekers since 2011.
Shelter Birmingham
Shelter Birmingham offers practical & emotional support for families settling into new accommodation after homelessness. Help with benefits, accessing childcare & obtaining tools.
Hatfield Foodbank
Hatfield Foodbank was set up by Gracemead Church, King’s Community Church & Kingdom Light Centre. They are a welcoming place for local people in crisis to receive food & support.
Farnworth & Kearsley Foodbank
This foodbank is run in partnership with local churches, facilitated by Farnworth Baptist Church. It provides three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis.
Hackney Foodbank
Hackney Foodbank is aiming to achieve no less than a hunger-free Hackney, where everyone can afford to eat. We support people who are in crisis with compassion and dignity.
Walker and District Foodbank
Walker and District Foodbank can give you food if you are in a crisis. They are open on Thursdays. You need to be referred to them by one of their partner agencies. You are then given a food bank voucher to swap for emergency food at the food bank.
Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank
Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank opened their doors for the first time in June 2010, not knowing how busy they would become. They now have sessions at 4 venues, 8 times a week.
